• The dose for pediatric PAH is based on body weight and must be carefully calculated.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F).

How to take tablets

Give your health care provider a list of all the medicines, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements you use. Also tell them if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some items may interact with your medicine. Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress. Tell your care team if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.

5.3 Effects on the Eye

Tell your care team right away if you have any change in your eyesight or hearing. This medication may affect your coordination, reaction time, or judgment. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Sit up or stand slowly to reduce the risk of dizzy or fainting spells. Drinking alcohol with this medication can increase the risk of these side effects. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.

If you forget to take it

Contact your care team right away if you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours or if it becomes painful. This may be a sign of a serious problem and must be treated right away to prevent permanent damage. If you experience symptoms of nausea, dizziness, chest pain or arm pain upon initiation of sexual activity after taking this medication, you should refrain from further activity and call your care team as soon as possible. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). SILDENAFIL CITRATE- sildenafil citrate tablet Advanced Rx Pharmacy of Tennessee, LLC Sildenafil tablets are indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) (World Health Organization [WHO] Group I) in adults to improve exercise ability and delay clinical worsening [see Clinical Studies (14)]. Pediatric Patients (1 to 17 Years old) Sildenafil tablets are indicated in pediatric patients 1 to 17 years old for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) (WHO Group I) to improve exercise ability and, in pediatric patients too young to perform standardized exercise testing, pulmonary hemodynamics thought to underly improvements in exercise [see Clinical Studies (14)].

• Sildenafil enhances natural erectile response, requiring sexual stimulation.
• It is not effective as a contraceptive or protection against STDs.
• Alcohol consumption can impair its effectiveness and increase side effects.

Although dose-response improvement in exercise ability was not observed in short-term studies in adults with PAH, the delay in clinical worsening with long-term use of sildenafil in Study A1481324 supports dosing up to a maximum of 80 mg three times a day [see Clinical Studies (14)].

What special precautions should I follow?

an erection that will not go away (priapism). sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. It is uncertain whether PDE5 inhibitors directly cause the vision loss. Stop taking VIAGRA and call your healthcare provider right away if you have sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. If you have these symptoms, stop taking VIAGRA and contact a doctor right away.

What is sildenafil used for?

The most common side effects of VIAGRA are: abnormal vision, such as changes in color vision (such as having a blue color tinge) and blurred vision In addition, heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeats and death have happened rarely in men taking VIAGRA. Most, but not all, of these men had heart problems before taking VIAGRA. It is not known if VIAGRA caused these problems. These are not all the possible side effects of VIAGRA. For more information, ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist. For pediatric patients 45 kg and greater, the recommended dosage is 20 mg three times a day.

A maximum dose in pediatric patients has not been identified. Based on the experience in adults, dose may be titrated to a maximum of 40 mg three times a day for pediatric patients >45 kg, if required, based on symptoms and tolerability [see Clinical Studies (14)].
